As a Sales Development Representative, you will be part of our growing commercial team of sales, SE’s, CSMs, and SDRs focused on creating and driving Linius’ growth. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role will be the front line of our business development efforts and be critical to our success. You have the responsibility to prospect and qualify new clients for Linius, build trust within your prospects and enhance the reputation of Linius on all public channels and forums. 

This is a hunter role, 100%.  You will qualify and convert inbound inquiries, calls, and emails into opportunities ready to be assigned to the sales team. You will develop and execute outbound contact strategies through multiple channels to create leads within target accounts, segments, and markets. You will use a combination of social media, email, telephone, video calls, and other mediums to reach our target customers. You will work with Marketing to create compelling messaging stacks to gain the attention of potential customers.

Location: Melbourne, Aus as a strong preference. Will consider candidates in other Australia east coast locations

Key responsibilities include
 (but not limited to) :
  • You’ll be making calls, writing emails, and booking qualified appointments.
  • Qualify inbound inquiries.
  • Conduct online research to find target customers and leads.
  • Build new methods and messaging for attracting clients.
  • Keep detailed notes of every meeting and call you to make, utilise our CRM to the fullest.
  • Meet/exceed your quota of calls, emails, meetings, etc.
  • Be a video evangelist at every step of the way.
  • Wear your commercial hat at all times.
Essential Criteria:
  • 1+ years of experience in lead generation, inbound sales, and/or outbound sales.
  • You know the suite of Microsoft tools inside and out.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal and relationship building.
  • Experience using an enterprise CRM software tool.
  • You need to be a bit flexible with your time. We have global teammates and customers and you may be required to assist with targeting accounts in Europe or the US from time to time.

Desired experience:
  • Experience with sales development for SaaS solutions, video, and or educational technology.
  • Experience speaking with leads in the enterprise, education, or sports markets.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of video technologies, streaming, OTT media, AI/ML, media file formats.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
