Linius Video Virtualization Engine™ (VVE) to be tested in Australia with Warner Bros. films distributed to end users

New York — February 8, 2018 – Linius Technologies Limited (ASX:LNU) today announces that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. to conduct a technical pilot test in Australia of the Linius Video Virtualization EngineTM (VVE) in a transactional video on demand (“TVOD”) streaming and content platform that provides content protection through distribution to an end user.

Linius’ technology platform will enable consumers to rent films for a limited period of time for viewing through a TVOD model utilizing the Linius VVE for streaming those films as virtual videos. Warner Bros. and Linius have agreed to collaborate on a pilot to test the streaming of certain selected Warner Bros. films over this platform using the Linius VVE. The purpose of the pilot is to verify and validate a commercial use case for using Linius VVE.
The project is initially for the Australian market and will commence Q1 2018.

About Linius Technologies Limited:

Linius Technologies Limited (ASX:LNU) has invented and patented the Video Virtualization Engine™ (VVE), which is available on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and IBM Cloud.

Amazon, Microsoft and IBM are investing billions in virtualizing video services (technologies) and artificial intelligence in the cloud. It is arguably the biggest battle on the internet, given that video accounts for nearly 80 percent of internet traffic.

Only Linius can expose the data that makes up the video file, and control the content within. Accessing the data in the video file is the missing link for video cloud service providers, content owners and distributors, creating unparalleled value across the internet video industry.

Linius has the potential to transform many multi-billion dollar markets, and is initially focused on:

Anti-Piracy: Applying proven data protection methods to video to solve piracy
Search: Search within videos and compile new videos on the fly
Security and Defense: Intelligent search and immediate distribution of security footage
Personalized Advertising: Hyper personalized to individuals, timeslots and content
